There are 2 water pumps right? Standard and high volume? What happens if you run a standard on a 1275? |

I was shocked recently after pulling my Cooper 1275 down for a mild refit that after ten years it had been running a standard pressed metal water pump....hmmm...I must have been a little short of cash at the time I can't remember...besides that it did a fantastic job and survived 6 years in Darwin then Victoria and Sydney and WA. The impeller was pitted but still it worked OK. It helps that the rest of the system was up to scratch as well though. I turfed it anyway to the spares bucket for a hi flow for good luck. |

Thanks guys. ![]() Rebuilding my GT motor at the moment and I had a new spare standard water pump. Wasn't sure if it would be suitable. |
