I just thought it might be interesting to find out what usful tools people have come across in there travels when it come to working on there car.

i bought this the other day an it would have to be the best ball joint seperator i own

no hammers needed and no damaged threads
would have to be the first time i have removed a ball joint in under a minute

My most useful tool is my suzuki.
It allows me to go out and buy all the rediculous one-off job tools minis require.

Like the other day, I spent 2 hours driving round to find some sort of tool I could use
to tighten the ball joints. Best thing I found was a big ass spanner, (1.5 inch) which
would've cost $80 had I decided to buy it. (not best fit anyway)
In the end I used a shifter and pipe. :D

i got this through work
i fix power tools all day and i get to look at some rather nasty tool catalog

now if only i had the space and the budget...

I similar ball joint splitter is available at Supercrap. It's not as elegant as that one though and hasn't got the extended handle. It's for sale at about 30 bucks as well and like this one removes knuckles in about 30 seconds everytime. Great tool even if you buy it to use only once or twice.
