Just showing my ignorance, but what is the benefit of a water heated manifold?

In cold climates (not here, lol) using SU carbs, it helps prevent carb icing. Can also improve fuel atomization and economy, but it won't help power.

Even in UK, many people leave the water hoses off on aftermarket SU Manifolds.

Water heated manifolds are very common also on most recent carburetted cars, both Japanese and European.

LOL. I find it funny that many people say it really does nothing, yet many people have them!

For power you want the intake charge as dense as possible. The worst way to achieve this is with the stock BL Mini intake manifold that was attached to the exhaust.
If you cut the manifolds apart it is worth 5 or 6 HP, according to Vizard..

Water heated ones are less of a problem as they aren't as hot, but in Oz we don't need thw water.... just leave the hoses off.

When my 45 Dellorto ices up, you guys will be the first to know..
