Hi we have just purchased today a 1974 Mini Van (how can I tell if it is a Clubman?) It is a Leyland. Chassis No starts with 99H so I know it has a 1000cc engine. It needs some restoration but it has its original engine plus a new one purchased, also came with new muffler.
Young lad had started the restoration but I guess gave up so his parents were sick of it sitting in the carport and we heard about it.
Whooppee it will be great when it is going. :D [/img]

"Clubmans", be theysedans or vans, have a square front.

Welcome to the group , basically a clubman is the squarenosed version of the mini , our local ones were produced under the banner of Leyland between 1972 and 1978 , they were available as vans or sedans and looked basically like this

The earlier ones produced in Australia by Morris up until 1972 were often referred to (well , here anyway) as roundnoses or roundies and have the front like this .

Good luck with your project .

I'm affraid not , it's my only one . ALso , it's too big for any of the scanners locally . I have 4 different Moke ones as well and would love to be able to copy and reproduce them but nowhere here can handle them , I've heard of a suitable scanner in a SYdney printers but they want over a hundred bucks to scan something that big and then "art and design " fee's on top of that .....

Have you tried scanning it in sections, then using like photoshop to "weave" the overlap together to rebuild the image? Maybe not perfect, but worth a go.

In with most of the other wierd things BMC and BLMC did . That file must be bigger than the list of standard models . There was a one owner clubman in Maclean up until it was wrecked a few years ago that was 100% clubman outside and 100% roundy on the inside , centre speedo and all . The ex BLMC dealer was still servicing it and said it was as they delivered it . It was on the changeover and obviously they had some roundy interior bits they wanted to use ......

I had a '71 clubman which was like this, centre speedo, no top dash, but it did have the bottom dash pad and leyland switch panel, but with centre ignition, and non-locking steering column.

Poor little thing is no longer with us tho..

Hi guys
Most of you say it is a clubman except one who said it was a Leyland Mini. Do I assume I can call it a Leyland Mini Clubman?

I will post some pictures later of it as we purchased it.

What is their value - does anyone know?
Cheers
Maureen
