1000cc (998) Motor with 12G202 head (1100cc style) My book says this would be from a Leyland Clubman S.
Gearbox number refers to 4synchro Rod change with small dia (bearing) Idler Gear.

These 99H motors are usually strong as donkeys and make good sloggers for an 'everday mini!

Depends what you want out of it? if your just after something to get around on, they're great, realiable and economic transport. Just don't go expecting it to blow your socks off performance wise :)

Yea, if you stroke it with a 1098 crank and put a decent cam in etc...it wont be too bad..just a little slower than a commodore..

Tell you what, if you come along to the cruise if Feb, i'll be there with my car (provided i get it re-registered and it's not apart for the build) and you can come for a ride. It's one of the most powerful small blocks on here (shut up james ) ...if not mine gafmo's is pretty much the same..
