And I quoteth from the Parnell Bible....

....Chassis numbers for the 1300 Export all had the prefix B39/7 and started with chassis number 54000.....

Yup it is an Innocenti 1300 Export. Production was til Jan 75.
Congratulations!

Should be a number stamped beneath the bonnet stay bracket on the right hand flitch, and should have another plat riveted on somewhere, either near the same bracket as the stamped number, on the bonnet slam panel and/or under the seat on the crossmember.

The rest of the number I don't know about, it's abit hazy. For italian built cars apparently it should start with IM45780 as a refernce number, this may be a Belgian built car. if it's the real deal.

I got 15 pages on it in front of me. let me know what you need and I'll scan it.

So I'm guessing that Brickworx is selling it? And it doesn't have a front subframe?

Before someone jumps on me...Please pardon me for starting a sentance with AND. I know it's bad grammer.

A LHD Innocenti Cooper 1300 Export is very cool. All those gauges like a Ferrari, the interior, the unique grille and tail lights, wider headlight rims...

Major Jealousy! :D

this is interesting...

Innocenti had had a marked success with its licence-produced BMC models. It sold about half as many Minis in Italy as British Leyland sold in Britain. In 1969 the company made 50,000 BLMC models, mainly Minis, worth £26 million. These were not simply Italian assembled, but largely Italian built, apart from the engine-transmission pack, which was imported from Britain.

My father owned a Mini Cooper he bought new in Holland. He owned for a full day, before he slid off an icy road and into a canal (How very Dutch of him).

He says these cars were "assembled" in Holland, but I wonder if they were Italian Innocenti as above?
