Along with making the seats more comfortable (see viewtopic.php?f=2&t=102536 ) I have been checking what is what. I have had seat covers on the seats for years and upon removing them i discovered the fom backing had completely disintigrated leaving a dusty, oily slightly sticky residue all over the seats. I spent last night trying ti find out via google what would be the best way to clean them. Typical google result of multiple differing answers but none really specific. I had already vacuumed all I could and brushed as well
I decided to try a couple of different things, the first being meths. Lo and behold it worked brilliantly straight up. A cloth with meths, rung out , shifted all the residue quickly. So if anyone else has this issue meths is the go.
I do love it when a plan comes together.
