Attachment: 20250330_083316.jpg This is a device I have made to overcome an irritating problem, but what is it and what's it for? Answers here or on a postcard. 10 brownie points for the correct answer. ![]() |

Strange looking hammer. My best guess is that it’s for that back itch that cannot be reached? |

Steam wrote: It is Mini related. Mini specific or would it be used on other cars too? Seat diaphragm/webbing/spring stretcher? |

Not for the seats. Possibly on other classic cars. |

Not for the filler strip but I have made a stronger version of the strip tool after the commercial item bent on first use. |

Nearly, you're on the right track. OK enough with the suspense already. It attaches to the rear quarter window catch allowing me to open and close it from the drivers seat. lol, my arms are long enough to reach around and open the passenger side if I’m stopped at a red light. My co-poilot however has no chance, this would be handy. I’m thinking a thoughtful birthday present is in order ![]() |

The outcome of this was to be able to open and close the rear window from the drivers seat. Before I applied the KISS principal and made the extension handle I toyed with the idea of motorizing them. But the commercially available product is overpriced, has many compromises and did not suit my needs. I worked for a short while on making my own and this idea is still on the backburner. |
