Could anybody help in re guards to the seal/gasket that is used on the Australian Mini Clubman fresh air system and seals the large fresh air scoop to the righthand inner guard under the bonnet - which the hose then runs under the guard. Any information would be much appreciated.

There was another thread about this a while back. Mine dont have them and I am not sure what a seal actuallybdoes anyway as mine work fine without them.

We've had quite a few clubbies pass through the family, the plastic Z bend just clips in there with no seal.

I can help you there. This seal, HYB3979 (Australian manufacture) is rectangular section 0.31 x 0.5" made from closed cell sponge rubber with a neoprene skin (probably much like a boot lid seal material). Described as "Seal - Nozzle - Air Intake Heater. Regards Tony

Thanks to everybody who has replied so far

Tony thanks for your detailed description of the seal. That will give me some thing to go by and work on. Very much appreciated.

I guess there's not much chance of finding one.

Scoop, Thanks for your reply. I would really appreciate that if you do manage to come across a seal and I'm happy to cover costs.

Thank you also 850man. I'll see how Scoop gets on with his search in the weekend. Thanks everybody.
