Hi all,

is it possible to swap the older square body wiper motors for the later round one?
I know the mounting bolt pattern is different, but an adapter plate could sort this.
Reason: I believe the round body motor is more powerful & durable .
So I'm guessing it comes down to sweep patterns and wiring.
Not looking to go two speed. I like to keep things simple (sarcastic LOL)

Thanks for any responses.

Pete

For mounting of the motor you simply need to drill three new holes in the bulkhead to suit the round body mountings. For wiring, you need to wire the roundie up right.

Be aware the Lucas Australia round bodied wiper motor (12AUW) has regenerative braking so needs to be wired up differently to the square bodied type. You will need a different switch.

The mounting of the later wiper motor just needs 3 new holes drilled.
