A while back I had to replace my original LH cable due to damage.
New one stretched. Old RH one is fine.
So I put a 10mm spacer under the LH cable's nut and adjusted it. A year later it's stretched again and the little spring is just about fully compressed.
Are these handbrake cables all still rubbish or are they better now?
I need a new pair....
Hydrolastic ones.

I replaced the cables on a rebuild about 7 years ago and, other than brake shoes settling in, haven't had any stretching issues.
Have fitted a new pair to the current rebuild but it's not on the road yet to test them.
Both sets from Karcraft.

If it continues to be a problem maybe Flexible Drive can make them.

Thanks guys I will get a pair from Karcraft.
I might lengthen the handbrake lever arms in the drums so there's less need to reef it up hard.

I have just bought a pair of hydro ones from Karcraft. Stickers say made in the UK. Will fit in a month or so.

Thanks for the offer but I will fit these two, they should be fine. It's not a daily driver now, I'm retired.
