Were the Firsat rims always a problem to get tyres fitted and balanced, even when new? I realised that not only can I not balance the Firsat rims, I can't remove or fit tyres to them. Both the manual machines I have cannot work due to the small hole or the fact that they need to be mounted face down. Another typical machine from the time would've been a Coats 10-10 or similar. These of course can't do them either. Of course I could do it with tyre levers and I can probably sort out the balancing issue. I have been looking for a modern type tyre machine. |

My local tyre dealer used to change the hub on his balancer to do them. And swore, Yes they were a pain in the ass. |
