Has anyone ever had the issue of a heater tap actually falling apart? Mine is new but purchased some time ago. I went to readjust the heater cable and the whole tap fell apart. How are they actually fixed in place so this doesn't happen ? |

The type on the head? I have read about them failing (years ago now). I had one from minisport UK start leaking and I replaced it with a minispares one and haven't had an issue so far. |

Yeah the one on the head for a cooper s. I was just about to drive it out of town but it needed adjusting so I 3ent to do that and it literally fell apart. I can't remember where I bought it as I'd buy bulk parts during my resto but they wouldn't be fitted or used for quite a while. |

I have had the Minispares heater valve (ADU9102) for 4 years and no issues so far. Around the time I bought mine there was a lot of chatter on the forums about them falling apart and that the Minispares one was the best of the then current lot, but there was still a strong preference for NOS. Cheers, Paul. |
