I have to replace the rear subframe bushes and have a set of Mini Sport black poly type that the previous owner must have bought but never fitted. Should I just use these, or buy a rubber set?

These days I would use poly. As the quality of 99% of rubber is rubbish and cracks up prematurely.
Ditto front lower arm rubber bushes.

Thanks Dr. That saves me a few $ too.
I see you’ve got a Peak ignition fitted too. I couldn’t believe the difference it made to my setup. Can’t rate them highly enough, but I believe they’ve gone out of them now?

I would use the rubber mine had the poly in it and they COMPLETELY disintergrated .

If they were the old red poly from yesteryear I would agree, they were crap.
My steady bar ones did the same.
But recent black poly bushes seem fine.
