What's the go with the Swiftune Quaife ATB, I would like to use one in my rebuild of my mk2 S gearbox. I have tried the site search f(n), and had no response from Swiftune.
My read is :
1. They seem to only come in pot joint outputs now
2. I would have to buy 2x pot joint diff side flanges & pair of seals
3. I would have to buy 1x Swiftune Hardy Spicer Output Flanges for ATB and "pot-joint" diffs : Pair
Does this seem logical ? or is there another way to do it ?
Cheers
Peter

your assessment is correct

1. it does look that way, though I've had mine 10 years or so, and I'm pretty sure that pot joint output shafts was the only option back then, but I am often wrong
2. rubber universal diff side covers are the same size as pot joints - so plenty around, either for pot joint or rubber uni
3. to retain hardy spicers, yes..

For what it's worth, when I installed my Quaife I scrounged up a set of pot joint driveshafts and bought some new pot joints. I find them easier to work with, though Doogie disagrees, he keeps a built up driveshaft and outer CV ready to go with his spares and can do a driveshaft swap in less than 5 minutes... he breaks CV joints more often than I do, he also goes faster...

As Simon says:

Option 1: ATB diff, pot joint diff side covers, conversion flanges to hardy spicer
Option 2: ATB diff, pot joint diff side covers, pot joint CV, pot joint driveshafts

Thanks Simon & Tim. I think option 1 will be the go as I'm fairly much down that rabbit hole with the front subframe & contents finished.

that looks great - quite a few trick bits there too :)

"they" will tell you that the front bump stops will make the front sit up high - I personally like to run my suspension with a lot of pressure and it sits up high at the front, I'd be keen to see how high up it'd sit with those bump stops

Thanks Simon. My first Mk2 S back in 1976 had shocks, adjustable arms, sway bars and the comp bump stops also. Ran the car quite low with ~1/2-1" clearance between stop & subframe. Gave a firm ride. Always had problems bottoming the collector of the long 3-1 extractors until I changed to lcb. I'll have to see how I like the ride now, 46 years later :D . BTW, I have restored the "non-trick" bits, so it can be changed back to original if ever desired.
