Hello ausminiers, I have been told this is basically a bin job. Asking if its fixable and worth fixing. How would one go about it and are all the weights etc still available to buy? |

You can get all the internal moving parts from another distributor, or a specialist distributor rebuilder. I’ve seen people repair the lower collar by making up a spacer ring with some grub screws. I built dad's mk1 distributor up with epoxy metal putty and filed it back, still fine many years later (I think) Machining up a collar like timmys photo is a good idea |

I had one repaired by the machine shop of Dad over 20 years ago. It had a broken collar due to an over tightened clamp. It was welded and then machined to standard size. |

HI Carter Don't bin it i weld them up and re machine them or turn it down make a collar a nice fit and locktite it works fine. As for the in sides as Tim said take it out of another dizzy, if the bushes are worn you may have to make them as i don; think you can buy them any more. Graham Russell |
