Has anyone came across a 31mm exhaust valve for MK2 head which had a number "VE924" stamped up near the groove? i have 3 of these in my mk2 head and the fitted length came in at 1.39-1.40" which is on par with the inlet valves. However, i tried another valve AEG107 and the valve thickness is much, much thicker. Not a flat profile like the VE924 valve. The end result was a fitted length of 1.34". Short of biting the bullet and getting qty 4 rimflow valves but still not knowing what those fitted lengths will be, does anyone also know of other valves work on A series 12G940? VW , ford etc??? |

I used 12G1322## from Karcraft. 1.219" diameter. Same length as the MK 2S inlets. About $27.50 each. |

I double checked the length, same as the other type. Its more to do with the thickness of the valve head. The pic below may not give it justice but the valve on the right AEG107 is much thicker, and as a result sits .40mm less depth relative to the head face. As a result it affects spring height. The valve on the left VE924 is much flatter ala penny on a stick. It gives a spring height of 1.40”. Otherwise will 1.34” spring height cause a major upset? They are the high lift springs set. If anyone can recognise this valve could they let me lnow. |
