Was the soundproofing behind the dash cards in 2 pieces or several odd shapes to go around holes and knobby bits?
Have carefully stored the originals 'somewhere safe' and can't remember what the they looked like.
I know I have to allow for the oval binnacle to go against the metal firewall.

Found some more. It appears two pieces go to the LHS , one to the right - plus one each side of the first picture above. These pieces haven't seen the light of day for nearly 40 years.....its time to make a concerted effort to restore this car.

Thanks Peter.
The trim card backing gives me a scale, too.
Might be hard to remember but does the felt cover the large air vent hole in front of driver?

Don't think so, or I have lost a piece. Should only be (from memory) the piece around the binnacle and the far rhs on this side of the car, will check later.

A search on Ausmini found a comment that there were 4 pieces - 2 each side - in the dash soundproofing, although no images.
I think I'll just improvise using pieces as per your photo.
Thanks for the reply.

There's also some images of the dash sound proofing and various other bits installed here:

Photos taken whilst replacing the millboard / fibreboard backing - looks to be 2 x pieces (for both L & R sides) + another section immediately to the left (& right) of the nacelle. Hopefully can accompany what Peter has shared above.

Edit: Just re-checked again. Two each side. Car is upside down on spit atm and I played tetris with these pieces. Somehow I must have obtained an extra. Sorry if any confusion.

Would you have a picture of the drivers side as well?

Starting to make sense of it: Hinesy1275 looks like a Mk1 where the felt and panel go behind the binnacle. I think the Mk2 has the felt and panels cut around the binnacle so it seats hard against the firewall.

Sorry Peter - no photos of driver's side... As Bill has alluded layout may be a little different for Mk 2 as photos above are of a late Mk 1.
