Out for a drive today, stalling at junctions. It wasn't doing it last time out. That was about 2 months ago. 1275 engine and I have not done anything simce last time out. Slowing to a stop engine just sort of peters out, i can jump start it with the clutch easily before it stops rolling altogether and it ticks over perfectly. Runs very well in all other aspects. Anyone have any ideas. |

If you are running SUs: a dashpot piston getting stuck slightly open? They dry out when not used. |

Cheers Bill, I checked that earlier today long with the dashpot. Oil level is fine and piston feels nice and drops in about 2 secs with the satisfying click as it makes the bridge. I hve been trying to think wht actually happens when coming to a junction so I can try different things when driving to see wht gives. |

Hello Dave, If you've not changed anything, I'd be considering some new fuel. I have experienced the same thing when the cars have sat idle for a while... In my case it cured its self with some fresh fuel. Regards, Glen |

Stall / peter out at junctions etc. |

Hey Dave, Yes it did both car run terrible on stale fuel. Most noticeable negotiating roundabouts but also on the run down to an intersection. I always go for the fuel before looking for other things. Regards, Glen |

Thanks Glen, I am going to give this serious thought. The only thing is mine is running very well in all other aspects, not missing or lacking power nor hesitating, Your theory makes sense though. I will report back. |
