Wondering if anyone else has had or seen this.
Newer style 17acr lra 101 alternator
Ign / charge light blinks / pulses / flickers with ign on but before cranking. Regular clock like pulse not erratic.
Fault is not in the wiring or the instrument cluster etc. Earthing brown yellow wire at alt end and lamp glows solid, no pulse
Anyone come across this before, its blinking annoying...

Hi Dave,

It could just be your beastie telling you to hurry up and turn the key!!!! -

A couple of thought bubbles to shoot down - ( I really have no idea , but am curious)

Are your warning lights Traditional or LED behind a resistor? - maybe something weird happening there?

Are you running a Lithium battery: - I have a warning light that comes up, when the lithium battery is just off the charger - it behaves normally after a start or two - I haven't any idea why except that maybe the battery has circuitry protection or its full state of charge is higher than expected?

Yep, standard incandescent lamp and traditional Lead Acid Battery.
It makes no difference as to the state of the battery charge.
Its not really a problem as it all works ok, its just somewhat annoying.
