If you were to just observe another car at a show, the chances are that you will see aluminium rivets from a hardware store which are completely wrong. The correct rivets for the identification plate are part no. 97H728 (DMP824) which is a monel rivet 1/8 diameter with a head diameter of 0.236". I purchased some of these from a supplier off Ebay last year although the items I purchased were a little long, they worked very well and look authentic. Search ebay for:

Just ordered a pack.
I take some delight in finding parts that are still available and close to original. It's a quiet life here in the suburbs, in the shed and avoiding the gardening.
Please don't tell me the factory changed the specifications just before my model was released....
