Hi,
In case you'd missed it last fall on Bring A Trailer, and after discussion about it, I thought to include this photo for all to see a fairly well executed "Clubmanectomy" performed on a YDO21V. ( I was greatly interested because the car is very close to mine in production.)
If you want to see many photos from the auction on BAT, search for Mini, and look at history of auctions.
Best,
Mark

Thanks, but I can't take credit. It may have originally been coined by Al Guest, who has just recently passed. He was known as The Mini Mover here in North America, and was known for his love of the clubman nose, especially on LWB Minis.
Best,
Mark

I wonder what you'd call the opposite, a clubman nose one a roundie... maybe 'clubmanification', or maybe 'hitting it with the ugly stick'

I wonder where it was done? It has a UK Mk2 onwards grille, and I suspect a later model bonnet was used, the hinges are spaced differently on the early ones so need a lot of work to fit. So my guess is that it may have been converted in the US or somewhere else.

Quite a few UK Clubman Estates have been done similalry to make them look more like a Mk1 or Mk2 Traveller/Countryman, but you can pick them because they don't have door hinges.

I've heard that MK3+ type bonnets use the same hinges/spacing as clubman bonnets..

Back when we first saw the auction come live, several of us on the West Coast of the U.S. made the assumption that the conversion was done here as well. It sure does look to have been done well. With the shiny new paint and all, it really photographed well.
Full disclosure: I've always liked green and am biased.

Not to stray too far off topic - this car on BAT I seem to recall being in the old Hot4s / Mini Magic magazine in the 90s:
