Post subject:  decode an old 1976 ADR tag - or it's numbers

Hi,
I've searched, but don't see a method to decode ADR's numbers. I was able to see one in another discussion, perhaps it was burst proof "flappy handle" exterior door handles as ADR #2?

I now, due to the kindness of Tony, have my 1976 Van's ADR numbers, but would like to decode what they meant back then.

Anything you can do, other than point me to the ADR website at Australian Govt, which is far too huge to find anything, will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Mark

Post subject:  Re: decode an old 1976 ADR tag - now w Basic details

First allow me to thank Tony C and Timmy201 for help. I've now created this very basic listing for my own Enfield built Late 1975 - Early 1976 Leyland Clubman Van. I can't give Mini Specific design or construction elements / differences on them, except for maybe flappy handles on ADR 2, and Air Pump / Related on ADR 27 A. But, here now, for reference only:

The ADR listing is 1, 2, 3, 4C, 5B, 6, 7, 8, 10B, 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, 18, 20, 21, 22A, 23, 24, 25, 27A, 28, 29, 31

1 Reversing signal lamps
2 Door Latches - Burst proof exterior door handles - “Flappy Handles”
3 Seat Anchorages
4C Seat Belts
5B Seat belt Anchorage points
6 Turn signals
7 Hydraulic Brake Hoses
8 Safety Glass
10B Steering column
11 Internal Sun Visors
12 Glare reduction in field of view
14 Rear vision mirrors
15 Demisting of windscreen
16 Windscreen wipers and washers
18 Instrument location
20 Safety rims
21 Instrument Panels
22A Head restraints
23 Pneumatic tires standards for passenger cars
24 Tire selection and suitability
25 Antitheft Locks
27A Vehicle Engine Emissions Control equipment - On my Mini, this was mostly Air Pump & Related
28 Motor vehicle noise standards
29 Side Door Strength
31 Hydraulic Braking System standards

I hope that this will help someone else, maybe be used as a quick reference or somesuch.

Best,
Mark

I think my 850 would meet maybe 1 or 2 of those when new, which really goes to show the level of investment BMC/Leyland needed to keep the mini on sale
