I'm sure there is no such thing as the perfect camshaft - no doubt i am over thinking the entire process. Im building a 1098 +0.040 with GR Flat top pistons & 12G202 head (with work) - just aiming to make a torquey Fast road engine. i keep bouncing between the idea of a Kent 266 or 276 & KAD100. I'd like to hear feedback from anyone that has used any of these - pros & cons. Any other options also... Ideally I need to be able to just order something ASAP rather than waiting for one to be ground. Thanks mini'ers |

Hi I have had both the Kent 266 and Graham russells 266ss cams. I have one in each of my motors but haven't been driven for a good while. They are both great cams for power pretty much through all revs. You don't have that lumpy idle either so people won't really know you have a "cam" so to speak. I find both of these cams fairly similar but I think the 266ss which I believe is Graham russells is slightly better for power. That's my 20 cents worth. Others may pitch in for a cleR picture. As I said its been a while since I not only drove these motors but to compare them both. |
