Hello fellow mini enthusiasts,

I am currently in the middle of a rebuild of my 1275.

I noticed that my thrust washer was a little worn, not horizontally, but vertically. ie: the internal diameter (46.1mm).

I purchased a new thrust washer from a reputable source in the UK.

On arrival I noticed that new thrust washer internal diameter 46.5mm, was 0.016 thou larger as such not usable.

The stats on what I have are as follows:

1275 Crank thrust washer seat 45.9mm
Old thrust washer internal diameter 46.1mm
Slop between two 0.2mm or .008 Thou

Does anyone know the specifications of the internal diameter of the thrust washer seat on a 1275 crank. The reason I ask is I'd like to know if someone has done some work to the crank before myself. That way I can make an informed decision on how to proceed. Either try to locate another Thrust washer or look to have one made to suit.

I can't see why the internal diameter is a critical issue, as opposed to its thickness, to control primary gear end float.

Matt Read (the mini man) makes new thrust washers. He might be able to help you regarding the dimensions
