Post subject: | Assembling hydro competition bump stops |
Hi, I have front and rear hydro competition bump stop kits I'm trying to install and for the life of me, I cannot get the rubber bump stops to fit over the retainer on the bracket. I've scoured the internet and the only advice I find is to use soap and put the bracket in a vise. After hours of trying various different methods (and now with considerably less skin on my raw hands), I think I must be missing something. Would appreciate any advice anyone can give me ![]() |

I used a dab of raw dishwashing liquid. Put bracket in vice and pushed the rubber down and sideways to get one side in, then turned so it screwed itself on. I may have pushed a large diameter bar through the rubber a few times to loosen/warm up the rubber as well. |

What he said^^ When fitting the rears check the body flange misses the rubber, bend it out a little if needed. |
