Cleaning out a 1275S block for rebuild. Block was very dirty when I bought it in 2017, it has been chemically cleaned, sat in a molasses bath for 4 weeks and spray washed. I started cleaning out the oil galleries with compress air, degreaser, brushes and pipe cleaners, I removed the brass plugs at the end of the main gallery. Was able to remove some debris from no. 1 feed to main cap 1, no. 2 was clear, but no.3 allowed very little fluid from the main cap into the main gallery. I hit the block with a pressure washer and was able to improve no.3 flow through, but still restricted. Had a chat to Matt Read, he said to remove the oil pressure relief seat and this is what I found this morning. A big thank you to Matt, has saved me a lot of potential grief.
