Hi, has anyone made dash cards for a Mini K out of 3mm mdf and been able to fit them ok? I made one for the left side and it doesnt seem to be flexible enough to fit . I have the cluster in, maybe need to take it out to fit the card?
Thanks
Steve.

I have made dash cards from trim material that is a heavy cardboard. The material must be pliable to bow it into position. 3mm mdf would be too thick to bend. I used it on my door cards but it was too thick to fit into the channel at the top of the doors.

Minisport in Adelaide sell dash cards, either covered or uncovered. I glued vinyl to a plain set and they fitted very easily.
The dash cards on mini K and Mk2 S are meant to fit flush up against the oval binnacle, which is screwed directly to the firewall.
(Mk1 S has the dash cards behind the binnacle.)

OK, that makes sense. Thanks. I might just get the ones from Minisport, they arent too expensive. Less hassle.

Agree with Bill B, have used bitumen board from local upholster and covered it with vinyl. Had an old set which I used as a template.
