Hi all, Hopefully someone can help me with this one as it’s been difficult to track down what I need: Rocker cover thread is 1/2” UNF 20 (or a very close tapered thread) I want a 90 degree fitting that’ll thread in and have a 1/2” breather outlet I can’t seem to find any brass 90 degree fittings that are the right thread or outlet size My second option is a banjo bolt, but I haven’t found any barb fittings in 1/2” outlet with the right size inner diameter Thanks! |

Hey Tim Autobarn at Albion Park have a heap of different fittings - I needed some 3/8 NPT stuff for my fuel reg. Took it in with me to make sure I got the right size/thread etc. May be worth a shot, they might have what you need behind the counter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

If it is a tapered thread are you sure it is UNF? It may be BSP (British Standard Pipe) which are still commonly used today - a plumbing supplier may be better. A 1/4" pipe thread is the following: OD 0.518", 19 TPI. Cheers, Paul. |

Thanks Paul, I had the crazy idea that 1/4 BSP would have been a 1/4” OD thread but obviously that isn’t the case now I’ve read up some more! Looks like there is a good choice in 1/4 BSP to 1/2” barb so I’ll have to check the local shop |

Even if you can find a right angle barb of close size threadwise, then run that threads tap into the offending thread and use some thread sealant or ptfe tape. But it sounds like a 1/4 bsp to me. |

Autobarn Albion Park found me an elbow with the right thread and hose size (TFI #BME1214) which matches the thread on the old straight fitting. Thanks for sorting me out Paul & Gambo It’s about 1cm too long on the barb end, so it’ll need to meet the grinder |
