G'day,
My drivers side rubber seat squab is starting to perish.
I've always used the rubber one's.
However, there is a wire and spring type.
Has anyone used this type and can comment re longevity, ease of installation compared to the rubber one?
Thanks
Peter

I’ve installed the wire spring type on mine, works perfectly well 6 years on and it won’t ever break like the rubber ones.

1275, fairly straightforward to install compared to the rubber one's??

I think it was a little bit easier to install as it wasn’t under as much tension initially. I’d suggest putting some hessian between the spring and foam (or even the old rubber diaphragm) to prevent the wires cutting into the foam (I did this after the photo)

Thanks cobber.
Left the rubber one in, but gotta admit a couple of the side springs were tough to stretch to engage the wire.
But, I am getting old!
