| Post subject: | Rear window hinge |
There’s no gasket under the rear flapper window hinge, but should there be anything ? A dab of seam sealer to stop moister going in the screw holes ? Something to protect metal on paint ? Same for the door striker plates (mk1). From memory there was some sort of goop under them but I cleaned them up long ago. |

Ditto drmini - I use a thin bead of Silastic on both. The door striker plate needs to be positioned to get a level gap for the door alignment and easy closing but over time it moves and trying to avoid stripping the screws/threads holding it, some sort of adhesive seems to help stop movement. |
