Hey all,
I'm in the process of wiring up an electronic fuel pump (facet) in my 64 van.
Interested to see where and how others have wired them up ( 12v feed and where wiring has been run)
The loom in the van looks to run from the rear passenger side inside the cabin, over the wheel arch and up the B pillar and through under the hoodwinked and then down to the dash.
Obviously don't want to disturb the headliner so looking for alternative routes.

That's the traditional path, from the ignition supply, over the windscreen wiper motor, and then following the channel from over the top of the pillars to the rear of the car. Grounding is local, usually behind the fuel tank inside the boot.

I ran mine from battery to a cut off switch located at the base of the driver's seat, then via an inline fuse along floor behind the LH inner side panel that I've installed in my van. It then goes down through the floor where the number plate wires go, and hooks up to the fuel pump mounted on the rear subframe.

I had to get a whole new loom for my van, so just had the pump wiring included. It follows the standard run to the rear as you mentioned.

One thing I will suggest is wiring in a cut out option so that in the event of an accident, it kills the power to the pump.

Some suggestions are to use the oil pressure switch (see attached pic) so that when there is no oil pressure the pump cuts out, but I've used one of these so that a big enough hit will kill the power instantly.

I've hit some decent potholes with it installed and it hasn't tripped. I've installed it just above the accelerator pedal so that if it does trip by accident while I'm driving, I can just reach down and reset it.
