Based on the rear window sticker you could try Minisport in SA for more info. What's the name of the furry helper? |

Odd car, I first thought rover due to the grill, but the side lights don't match. Then the front and rear bumpers are plastic/rubber/fiberglass, is a weird one.....then you look at the doors and rear lights and the boot lid all look like Australian Leyland/clubman. Is the roof fiberglass or metal? Dose it have a Compliance/vin plate? |

Some of the jobs is to remove the bumper bars as I think they are Suzuki it has clubman tail lights the wrong grill and blinkers steel roof Is the roof fiberglass or metal? Hello Jason ,I only know the car from the previous owner .I did not want to do any work on it as there's a lot of problems with the car .I fitted the boot for him so it looks a bit better and it does not leak as much water the boot will always fit bad unless you do some cuts in the back panel. The car was on historic plates you will probably need an engineers report and a blue slip to get it registered. At least there is very little rust in the body ,The side windows don't fit correctly I would fit rubbers and get some windows cut, toughened glass .I have no idea what's under the paint .Anyhow you have plenty of work to do. Good Luck . the previous owner has the number of the guy that he bought it from. I don't usually do anymore work on car bodies I give free advice and sometimes I help the members of the Hunter Morris Club they get mates rates Allen |

There were a few previous topics on it here. According to the ID plate it’s a very early mini matic It obviously has had lots of modifications- it’s not really the “wrong” tail lights or grille when you chop the roof and modify everything. Who knows what those bumpers are off? A mini matic would look like this for comparison https://www.australianmusclecarsales.co ... tic-197121 |

Good Luck Jason it is a hard job, as I said check with a blue slip guy to see if it can be registered .He will probably say no then you will have big problems with an auto engineer as they don't like modifications that they cannot assess because of paint etc. that is probably why the last 2 owners sold it. To me it looks structurally OK but the engineers have their job to do and from my experience dealing with them they would have wanted to see the car before it was started .There would not be any drawings as it is an easy build. again Good Luck Allen |
