Hi All,

I am fitting freeflow extractors to my Clubman today but have hit an issue.
I cannot get them to line up with the head as they interfere with the mechanical fuel pump.

Is there anything I can do about this? Or do I need to install an electric pump?

Thanks in advanced

On some mechanical fuel pumps you can remove the lid and change the angle of the fuel inlet and outlet ports - would that help in your case?

Possibly, I can check. The engine is from 76 so has the later style with the big thick spacer as well which doesn't help...

Obviously check very well for leaks once you get some fuel pressure!

Has anyone fitted the Stage one RC40 kit to a rod change clubman?
I took it for first drive the other day and suddenly the alternator light came on and gauges/lights died. Found the 15A fuse had blown.

I am concerned the exhaust may have shorted the reverse light switch? Also worried the exhaust may be rattling against the rod change housing.
Will get under the car and check it when I get a chance to confirm or not.

Just wondering if anyone has done this and had to maybe modify the exhaust a bit to clear the shift housing. Or if I'm just over guessing the amount of movement?

Thanks

As can be seen in the images, the exhaust seems to be resting on the shift housing, and sits a millimeter or two from the reverse light switch...

Where did you get your exhaust pipe from? Is it AN180V?

I got the stage one kit here: http://www.minispares.com/product/Classic/Exhaust_and_manifold/Performance%20kits/C-STN17.aspx

The downpipe is: http://www.minispares.com/product/Class ... 0-001.aspx
which appears a bit different to the AN180V...

The AN180V has a distinct front end kick in it which provides the right clearance in my installation (direct change box).
