| Post subject: | Rod change selector shaft |
The “tab” fell out of the selector shaft. It’s usually pressed in I think. Can I just weld the tail of it to the shaft and grind off any excess weld ? Attachment: F175818D-E2F5-43CD-A63C-60BB3212514F.jpeg

(puts welding engineer hat on) I would shorten it a bit so it's a couple of mm below the surface to plug weld it. It's an unknown alloy steel, so I would stick weld with a 309 or 316 rod, or MIG it with S6 wire. |
