Post subject:  SU Needle starting point

Hello All
I Have a 998 STD internals , 202 head , extractors ( Name Unknown) RC 40 Twin box , electronic dizzy.
I have both 1/14 and 1 1/2 su's
Whats a good starting point for a needle for each ?

For the hs4(1.5) carb the standard needle is an ABP, your setup isn’t all that far off standard so I’d start with that and see if there is enough adjustment in it. The next needle is used in stage one kits, which might work well, that’s an ABD.

Mine was a std 998 with an HS4 and a minispares “stage one kit”. That came with an AAU needle, which was actually pretty close when we checked it with the afr gauge
