To retension, release pressure in the cooling system ( could be under pressure as is hot ..caution) tension bolts in the order recommended in the workshop manual, or starting in the centre work your way evenly outwards Undo the bolt you are tensioning by at least half a turn, and then bring it up to the required torque in one movement If you just tension a bolt without undoing , you will just get the breakaway torque, and thats not enough reset tappet clearances when finished .... easiest way to do that is subtract the number of the valve down (open) from 9 , then adjust that one Dry threads on bolts also generally read high so lube them Cheers Lindsay Siebler
