I’m building a 1275 and have a bulk lot of pushrods that a friend gave me.
Is there a difference in length from small bore to large bore engines.
All of the pushrods measure approximately 205mm overall.
They all have a little teat on the end from the cam follower. Can these be ground and reused assuming the length is ok.
While testing the brains trust, what cam followers should I buy ?

Phil

Thanks Kev.
I have looked at John Smidt parts book for push rods and it lists 12A250 for 850, 998 & 1098 engines and AEG314 for 1275 including cooper S.
Does anyone know what the length of a 1275 push rod should be.
Apart from the ones I have that are ~205mm I have 7 that are ~220mm.

I just lined up the two lengths that I have and the short ones are 214mm and the long ones are 220mm.
So, about the same as what Kevin has measured.
As I only have 7, does someone have 1 or a set they want to sell :)

Kevin
Thank you for your generous offer.
Below is a photo of the push rods that I have.
The ends are “bulkier” than the other rods.
You may be able to confirm that these are in fact 1275 push rods before I take up your offer.

I will take pics in the morning.
Edit-
I have several like those with the rounded top, also another which is tapered at top.
All are BMC ones not aftermarket.
All measure about 222mm overall. 1275 length.
I have some small bore pushrods also.

I have a pic on my phone, PM me your mobile and I'll send it.
