Hi all
I’m about to build up a 1275 engine a gearbox for my daughters mini, Ruby, a Morris 850 that currently has a 1098 with a 3 synchro remote gearbox.
We currently have a rebored block, reground crank, 521 rods and a 12G940 head.
We are not chasing race horsepower but I am going to install a 3.1:1 diff for easy freeway cruising so a torquey engine is desirable.
We want to do the build economically where we can.
First question is that the head is standard and will need to be serviced.
What else should I have done to the head while it is being serviced (if anything)

Regards
Phil

Fit viton seals, maybe just a clean up of the casting marks in the ports,
