I was going to change my 20yo Yoko A008s on the rear with the 10yo ones on front, then buy 2 new ones for front.
But on inspection the fronts still have lots of tread and rears are well legal, the car is a historic so doesn't do many miles.
No cracks or perishing anywhere. So meh, it can wait another year. ;)

Spent last two weekends stripping out everything in the engine bay & dropping the engine & subframe out.
Yesterday I took the subframe with old cooked engine around to a mechanic along with the new (2nd hand) long-block. He'll swap them over & change various seals, timing belt, water pump etc.
While doing so, I realised that fitting an oil-cooler on the VTEC is much easier than I had thought. Already modified the passenger side grille blanking plate & bolted an oil-cooler 'radiator' to it. Might need to cut or bend the header heat-shroud a little to get clearance, but I'll find out when I put it all back together. I'll run the hoses from the back of the engine round the passenger side of the engine bay to the rad, & see if I can find a tiny electric radiator fan that will run in parallel with the water radiator fan.

I feel guilty driving on 12 Y.O. A008s...but they still run well and don't want to wear out!

I thought I'd do something simple like changing the fuel filter...
- Buy new filter and new 1/4" (6.5mm) fuel hose
- Install new hose and isn't a tight fit to the carby or the fuel line
- Tighten hose clamps till hoses are damaged and hose clamps fall apart
- Put on other pair of hose clamps
- Find fuel pours out the fuel hose at the carby onto the exhaust manifold
- Tighten hose clamps and still leaks..
- Go to auto shop to buy some 6mm fuel hose, not in stock
- Order in fuel hose for afternoon delivery
- Get new 6mm hose and struggle getting it over the new filter and get it back together
- Fuel pouring out of overflow on fuel bowl lid
- Remove hose, fuel bowl lid, disassemble, clean and put back together
- Test and no leaks
Easy isn't it! :D

Put it back on the trailer that pulled it off the side of the highway when the engine seized 4 months ago
Going to a friends shed for removal and repairs hopefully

Went to a well know parts place associated with a world champion and got the same thing...'standard' fuel hose has gone from 6mm to more like 8...

Disconnected the optional Accuspark `Missile switch' and bypass loom from the black box. Not needed with a Lucas starter. :)
