Mini wiring diagram in one hand and Haltech diagram in the other then two kids annoying each other just outside. I couldn't concentrate long enough to make heads or tails out of either of the diagrams so I gave up.

Dropped it at the Dr's for a sleep-over for a few days :(

Oooo - hadn't thought of that! Not sure how any of the gear will fit in it to get to the track - so it might be one for cruise night!

I imagine it'll be in til the end of the week - then hopefully back to fanging again on the weekend!

Would kinda like to sneak down to Tarrengower on that weekend too. That might be tough though!

knocked up a bit of a device to help rotate and secure the Mini rotor.

The black sprocket is from a conveyor system, it screws to a boss welded to the sign pole 4x 6mm cap head.
A car front disc rotor is screwed to the black sprocket 4x 10mm screws.
Then there is Pooee's go-kart drive assy, well spotted.
The G-clamp will go and a handle 375 mm long attached.
holes in back of rotor for locking with spring loaded pin mounted on plate behind.
Still zero $
is work I can carry out after hours, no grinding so welds have to be spot on first time though and when you have left the hubble telescope at work makes for some fun!

Flasher than a rat with a gold tooth. What are they off? Is that a motorbike sprocket?

Your G-Clamp retaining the pinion lets it down though Diesel

Replaced both back brake hoses, both were blocked.I suppose after 13 years off the road you would expect this.
Now to change the front brake hoses on the weekend,I did try to undo one of the front brake lines but it looks like it's seized,
I sprayed penetrene onto the fitting hopefully it wll make it easier to remove.

Further to Monday's post regarding old smokey (see pic above), today it has now been established that perhaps repeatedly running at max revs for the entire length of the PI straight (thus effectively at sea-level) on an engine that was getting towards the end of its current build life cycle might not have been terribly wise of me? :)

Anyway, I have a nice souvenir from the experience :D

…. and now an exciting 1380 (and other good bits/mods) upgrade happening via the good folk at Link Automotive.

Here's cheers to the additional horses (and torque) who'll be joining the team under my bonnet for the 2015 Victorian Hillclimb Championship season (and a bit of other motor sport perhaps in the remainder of 2014 too).

I can't think of a more honest and enjoyable way of damaging a mini engine. Screaming flat out down the straight of P.I. :)

Changed out a worn out carb on Kooky's Mini. New one as sweet as a nut....if only tempered by a wheel bearing about to drop a wheel. A Saturday job to change that one out!

Took the Mini for a spirited run through the national park. Great weather and great fun!

Indicator loom made and installed. One head light bucket installed and brake booster rebuilt after stainless steel resleeving.

I am nearly running out of boxes to unpack. :)
