Yep. The original colour. Special Burgandy. The picture is very flattering. To the car of course! Not my wife and mum in the back....

You got your wife in the back.... Then your one up on me :)

Special Burgundy without a white roof! Very rare. (It can't be that rare, I have one in my shed!)

Did someone say it was rare Morris... Or did I miss something :) bit I must admit, after chatting to Peter the other weekend I'm in love with Special Burgundy.

The body needs some work but I love the colour and it's definitely staying special burgandy. I will have to do some research to find the correct colour codes for modern paint though.

I said it was rare. I thought I had the only monotone one.

Just been through that, PPG Paints have the codes for Special Burgandy. But get then to do some test pots first because there could be slight differences.

Changed the needle today in the HS6 to a fixed type and fixed the idle.

Matt Read looked up the curve and it was super rich. No wonder the bloody thing wouldn't idle before. I'm looking forward to not sounding like a hoon at the lights.

Thanks to Matt for the assistance on Friday - and digging out the right needle from the Readspeed stocks. Matt looks like he has everything there now so give him a call if you are looking for something.

Today I started to finish rebuilding front & rear subframes, so I can get them put back onto the body just to get some wheels under it in ready for preparation for painting later in the year or next year. One big hiccup - the rear subframe that I got from my nephew as mine was not the best, turned out to be for a rubber suspension. I know, I should have checked when he gave it to me. He is doing up a deluxe for my brother and is fitting Hi-Low suspension,so all is not lost, the hydro subframe is there somewhere and he has scored a nice powder coated subframe.

Very nice! Is the car a late 78 build?
The one that I should have got more info about was from a mates wrecking yard, when he removed the rear seat is had written "Last Zetland Mini"

It is a 78 clubman. I'm unsure of lateness. I'll have to check

Its built in 5/78. I haven't taken the rear seats out yet.
