Fixed up the windscreen wipers and took the Sugar the Mini Matic through the National Park, she loved the drive and also enjoyed the 21 l of petrol after the drive. Sugar is ready to drive to Camden Airport on Sunday.

I went out to Wings Over Illawarra (the only mini). And I got a flat tyre on the way there :( but it was pretty good once I got there! The wind stopped most of the aerial displays though.

Car broke down 15mins from home, originally thought I'd ran out of fuel, however after walking to petrol station and back it still would not go, so left it overnight. This afternoon after going through older forum posts tried a new coil and worked perfectly. (Quick side note, turns out supercheap don't carry Bosh GT40 coils, even though their website says otherwise)

Once again thanks for your posts guys, the amount of knowledge in here is astounding.

Speaking of old classics, Mini had it's first engine bay fire tonight. Wires had rubbed through, made contact with the throttle cable which turned it into a crude heating element. Was quite the excitement.

Nothing like soldering in new wires and replacing a throttle cable in the back streets of Ferntree Gully while it's pissing down and pitch black hehehe.

Just a few burnt wires and snapped throttle cable. Replaced the wires and the throttle cable with a spare old one (albeit a sticky one), got me home though.
