Fitted new thermo fan and thermatic switch. Works really well.

Also fitted pcv valve between clutch housing breather and intake and hey presto smells gone and no longer fouls sparkplugs if it idles for more than 5 mins.

Ooo.... I have a thermo fan ready to fit, was it easy? I just hate removing the radiator! Those pesky little screws on the far side of the radiator housing!!!

Haha yeah I cheat cause my inner gaurd had been "relieved" and means all I need to do to remove radiator is 2 bolts and 2 nuts. Was easy to fit.

Fitted three condenser s before I found a good one and the car would start. At least it was considerate to break down in the garage as it is a tad wet at present.

Failed a dozen times to adjust the doors so they don't need to be slammed so hard the windows fall out. Still, the half an hour it took to rewire the fuel gauge so it reads correctly was time well spent.

unbolted the fuel line and battery cable/brake pipe underbody guards, THEY were holding the floor panels to the firewall.

I fitted a 70 Amp alternator. It took 20 minutes to fit four hours stuffing around trying to get the wiring correct! I'm still not convinced I've got it right grrrrrr........

Started MiniMatic for the first time in about two years. I have been reconditioning the auto transmission ( I got the parts from AP in Britain on 16/8/2012) so I have been very slow. It was a joy to hear that 1100 motor start up and a quick drive up and down the street with the transmission changing quite nicely.
Hope to get it registered before the end of Feb.
Does any one know where to get 145/70 R 12 69S tyres from I need four?

It is good to be back in the mini world.
