Awesome! Expect some calls from The Spec.Burg.Red owners group.

Thanks for all the extra info and the cards, very interesting!

Has anyone ever come across 'New Burgundy Red'?
I'm assuming it's just another name for Special Burgundy?

Still at 31 confirmed colours for the 850s, haven't been able to find any more yet :)

Would also be interesting to see the difference between the earlier Burgundy and Special Burgundy.

(Poor Lindsay probably has better things to do than look through colour chips).

Its funny how that burgundy comes out black on my work monitor, but at home renders very nicely as the deep burgundy it should be. The other colours don't seem to vary much between the monitors.

Thanks winabbey, that's brilliant. That's the first mention of New Burgundy Red I've seen other than my plate - lucky we ordered Special Burgundy for touch ups haha.

Great stuff.
They replaced a couple of colours with new colours around that time and I imagine it would have been an easy mistake to make.
Cedar Green > New Cedar Green
British Racing Green > New British Racing Green
Burgundy > New, oops, Special Burgundy

Phill, I don't mind as long as people don't mind waiting for me to find time. I'm lucky I get to call this part of my job.

Mick, I tried to get a picture which showed the colour but on my iPhone they all come out dark. You are right, the colour is a nice deep burgundy. It's a nice colour but the panel prep would need to be spot on as it would show imperfections very well.

For a paint manufacturer it's generally harder to make a mistake as we normally talk colour codes not colour names. Even today many manufactures will call the same colour a different name on different models or in different markets but the code will always remain the same.
