Got the donor car home but after much poking with pointy things have decided to scrap the flintstone floorpans car and cut her up for the now not donor car  Many thanx to Markelldawe for giving me a lift to get her on the trailer :D

I sealed the rod change in the van and found the offending stone in the left hand brake caliper that has been annoying me for the last few days.
I'm still trying to find out why I've lost high beam though!

Took apart my heater tap and cleaned it out. It now works perfectly. Not that we really need a heater on the Gold Coast.
Played around with the central locking I installed yesterday, that was a mistake. Should have left it alone as I will be driving the car this week without a passenger door trim (keeps fouling on the mechanism).
Wanted to go around to Lockie91 and have a look at the bits he has for sale but it got too late.

Made up a bulkhead blanket from insulated sound deading stuff I picked up from the "Reverse Garbage Truck" place.
The piece only cost $8.30
Image

Foil on top surface and a layer of lead near the bottom nearly 1½" thick

Image

Trial fit to line up air duct hole

Image

The Finished piece - won't install it until everything else is done as I can tell from the trial fit it will be a job getting it in around the wiper motor and I don't wish to take it out again in a hurry

Image

This piece turned out to be exactly the right width and I have another piece the is 6" wide that will fit below the box cross member above the sub frame - that piece was $3.20

Took the dizzy off Mokesta to diagnose the not-running issue. Found it was fine inside so looked elsewhere. Coil to dizzy lead was stuffed, replaced that then she started but missfired so I replaced all leads and plugs. Back to her old self!!

Didn't turn a wheel though. Wifey is writing report cards so no testing Mokesta out while looking after the two kids.

Nice to know she goes though. Know what I mean
