I got my Cooper S in 1981 (or 82) for $200. I used it for club rally stuff till 88 and it has been parked outside ever since. If they go up much more I might have to start it up and stick it in a shed. :lol:

Your not going to get me with that one. If I sold it for that price you would talk about me behind my back.

I once got a Volvo for a carton of beer. Some people would say that I was ripped off but I got the carton for free. :lol: What do you do with a free Volvo? Paddock basher! It was the most comfortable car that I ever drove into a dam.

20K plus is not unusal for a genuine early Cooper S here in Aust. Provided all numbers are correct and the thing is the genuine item. There are plenty of old farts out there who remember the old days and are willing to pay for a car to relive it. :P Remember, these cars are no longer built, so what ever you want to pay will rule (market forces).
