Adjusted the passenger side wheel bearing. It had a little spot of movement so I linished the spacer down a few thousandths of an inch and refitted.

took my carbs and extractors off last night, welded a bung for an O2 sensor into the extractor collector, ran the wiring for the megajolt & EDIS coil

put everything back together today, added a vacuum line for each carb back to the megajolt, ran some wires for the O2 sensor and fitted that. Then connected all the megajolt up and connected it to my computer, ran the engine off the normal dizzy and the rpm and vacuum readings displayed in the megajolt software. So then I made a bracket for the EDIS coil and mounted it, connected all the wires up and tried to start the engine - it didn't go, but then I realised I hadn't connected the VR sensor, connected that and it started first go

I've got a motorkhana tomorrow, so I need to decide whether to put the normal ignition back in place for tomorrow, or run with the megajolt and take the normal ignition just in case

Fitted a new dust cover to the knuckle joint then fitted the left swing arm. Got the front sub frame 9/10ths installed - one of the floor bolts is giving me some grief. Fitted the cowel on the steering column and found the indicators wouldn't turn on for right turn - then wouldn't self cancel so had to fiddle with the setup again and get it all working again. Found I had only treated the rust in the fuel tank all those years ago and hadn't painted the insides - found it rusty inside again so gave it a rust treatment again and will paint it this time  Painted the radiator support bracket.

Overhauled the clutch master cylinder on the grey mini so I could drive it under the carport and out of the rain.

a good day for the mini today.
Took the engine out for the first time only took me and, mainly dad 1 hr to get it out, took out the steering rack and also replaced the primary gear seal, so glad we had a flywheel puller those buggers are tough to get off.
tommorow is painting the engine and engine bay and putting her all back together

Finally got around to replacing the wiper wheel boxes - well almost - was just refitting in the fading light when i found out that the replacements were too short for the nut to catch the thread.

So put it on hold as it was dark, cut the spacers down by a couple of mm tonight, will re-assemble in the morning.

Cut rear hinge panel off boot, cut out rusty sections, had can of cougar, rust treated the floor so as to be sure, fitted repair panels to both sides of boot floor, had can of cougar, tacked in place, looked at it, squinted eyes while looking at it, had can of cougar, "shut up mongrel dog!", scratched a bit, forgot what I was doing, had can of cougar, squinted eyes while looking at boot floor, "sheel be right" I says.
All this while the wife scraped away at the engine bay removing 45 years of dirt, mud, grime and tar. She's a top chick!
