This seems to be a trend among other forums too, people want to add quick comment on facebook and get immediate response rather than entering into long discussion on message forums. It is a shame as the content and technical advise that you find here is not always easily conveyed via facebook but it does seem happening everywhere.

It's kind of ironic though that I keep getting notifications about a forum thread discussing how forum threads are dying.

I enjoy looking at the Build Threads. Sometimes it can be months or even years between posts. Also the 'How to' guide is something I always refer to and look back at.
I like browsing the Ausmini forum better than the facebook pages. Easier to look through selected older posts and more specific with the conversations and threads.

I was on the International Mini Model Collectors Club forum which was very active. They went down the facebook route and shut the forum. It is now all but gone, nothing like it was, very disappointing, a lot of friends lost.

I enjoy the build threads and being able to go back in time and search for specific posts. I'm not a bookface person in the slightest - so my opinion is biased.

How good would it be if some of the old originals came back  (without naming names ), so much knowledge amongst them you couldn't buy it .
