Was the O-ring grommet under the floor or above the floor? Mine is under the floor but i reckon it would work better on the top side to hold up/support the hose.

I’m fairly sure it was under. Pipe had tag which end went to pump. An o ring on top or both would be better. I dismantled the car 35 years ago , but luckily tagged nearly everything .

Thanks for the photo's Ausdino. spot on :-)

Is the mounting of the fuel pump bracket original as well in your opinion?

Could you post some more photo's of that area if possible please.

Just finished another long term project, just starting to get into the Cooper S.
